REHDA Selangor is the sole state representative body that liaises with the government, state agencies, utility bodies and other enterprises to forge closer ties between the development sector and government sector.

We welcome membership applications from all organizations involved in housing and real property development in Selangor so that as a unified body, we will be able to speak to the government, state agencies, utility bodies and other enterprises to promote the development industry in Malaysia.

REHDA Selangor is proud to be invited to provide inputs in matters of federal government and state government policies. Our pro-active approach has greatly benefited members who would otherwise be unable to access government and utilities bodies to solve their challenges with regard to changes to policy implementation and problems at their development project sites.

Eligibility On Being A Member

The applicant must be a housing development company or involved in business related to the housing industry.

Subscription Schedule

The entrance fee for ordinary membership is RM2,000.00 which is a one-time payment.

Annual subscription is based upon the company’s paid-up capital as below:

Ordinary Member

Any person, company, firm or corporation who carries on the business of real estate and housing development and undertakes such development within five years of membership entry and is deemed genuine by the National Council is eligible to apply for ordinary membership of the Association which is unlimited in number.

Definition Real estate and housing development means “the business of developing or constructing or cause to be constructed, in any manner whatsoever, buildings for residential, commercial and industrial purposes for sale, lease or otherwise”.

An ordinary member shall be entitled to all the privileges of membership including the right to vote and to hold office.

Subsidiary / Related Member

An ordinary member who is a company, firm, or corporation who has subsidiaries or related companies, wishing to join the Association as subsidiary or related members shall submit an application to the Secretary of the Branch Committee in the prescribed form or such other form as may be approved by National Council from time to time.

The name of the person who shall be the official representative of the subsidiary or related member shall be submitted together with the application. A subsidiary or related member shall not be entitled to vote or hold office.

Affiliate Member

An ordinary member with a branch office in another state may, subject to Rule IV (2) (a) in the Rules & Constitution of the Real Estate & Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia, hereof, apply for Affiliate Membership of each Branch of the Association. An Affiliate member shall not have the right to hold Office and vote but may serve in any of the sub-committee of the Branch.

Associate Member

Any person, company, firm or corporation who carries on the business which is related to the business of real estate and housing development is eligible for associate membership of the Association. An associate member shall not have the right to vote or to hold office.
