Role & Function

REHDA Selangor welcomes more volunteers to join the sub / zone committees to embrace our ever more challenging industry. The benefits of sending your directors and senior staff to participate in the committees are as following:

Zone Committee

Role

  • To study and provide feedback on the implication of any proposed new and changes in policies, regulations, legislations, guidelines, standards etc. from local authorities relating to development of housing and property and to present members interest on the issues at related meetings, dialogues or forums.
  • To engage in regular dialogues and discussions with members and the relevant local authorities to enable legitimate complaints and issues affecting members’ interest can be referred for a solution.
  • To draw, plan and implement programmes for the benefit of member developers having project developments in respective zone.
  • To act as the intermediary between member developers and local councils, district / land offices.

Sub-Committee

1. Events & Publications Sub-Committee.

Role

To organize social, educational and income generating activities beneficial to the members and the property industry with the aim of:

  • Promoting good rapport among members, between the Association and the relevant government authorities as well as between the Association and other sectors of the property industry.
  • Providing forums for dialogues and discussions among members, between the Association and relevant government authorities as well as between the Association and other sectors of the property industry.
  • Enhancing the image of the Association within the industry and the general society.

2. Membership, Practice & Discipline Sub-Committee.

Role

To formulate membership drive to recruit more new members for the branch.

3. Infrastructure, Utilities, Environment Sub-Committee.

Role

  • To monitor developments in utilities’ requirement affecting land and property development including energy (electricity, solar ,etc.), water, communications, gas, etc. and to disseminate relevant information to members expeditiously.
  • To study and provide feedback on the implications of any proposed new and changes in policies, legislations, guidelines, standards, etc., affecting or relating to utilities for the housing and property development industry and to represent members’ interest on the issues at related meetings, dialogues or forums.
  • To engage in regular dialogues and discussions with members and the relevant authorities and utility providers to enable legitimate complaints and issues affecting members’ interest can be referred for a solution.

4. Planning Policies & Standards Sub-Committee.

Role

  • To monitor developments in planning policies and standards affecting land and property developments and to disseminate relevant information to members expeditiously.
  • To study and provide feedback on the implication of any proposed new changes in planning policies, regulations, legislations, guidelines standards etc. affecting or relating to planning and development and to present members’ interest on the issues at related meetings, dialogues or forums.
  • To engage in regular dialogues and discussions with members and the relevant authorities to enable legitimate complaints and issues affecting members’ interest can be referred for a solution.
