A virtual courtesy visit to Tuan Yusri bin Zakariah, Pengarah PTG Selangor was organized on 28 September 2021. REHDA Selangor delegates were led by Datuk Ho Hon Sang joined by REHDA Selangor committee members and the head of departments from PTG Selangor were present as well.
Several land matters that afflicted developers particularly during the FMCO period were discussed during the virtual visit. Matters were highlighted including the difficulty of various submissions to the Land Office, delay in obtaining approval and feedback, issuance of Strata Title and inadequate information on the submission process. Tuan Yusri also shared the concerns and difficulty faced by his officers during the FMCO and reassured them that all the Land Offices will speed up to clear the backlog of approvals.
REHDA Selangor also took the opportunity to present the findings on the Parcel Rent rate policy in Selangor, which has shown an enormous increment for both residential and commercial strata property since the year 2018. Tuan Yusri acknowledged the hike on the Parcel Rent and suggested REHDA Selangor bring forward the issue to Menteri Besar of Selangor for further deliberation.
The meeting ended with both parties agreeing to work closely to enhance the cooperation and development in Selangor.
