REHDA Selangor, via its Planning Policies and Standards sub-committee in collaboration with Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP) has prepared a paper on the proposal for ‘Improvement of Selangor Planning Guidelines and Policies in Selangor. Joint focus groups were formed to evaluate current-planning guidelines comprehensively and propose recommendations for revising planning guidelines and policies affecting the industry.
REHDA and MIP presented the paper to the Director of PlanMalaysia@ Selangor, Dr. Shamsaini Binti Shamsuddin on 12 December 2019 at Bangunan Darul Ehsan, Shah Alam. The delegation was led by En. Zulkifly Garib, Chairman of REHDA Selangor and TPr. Hj Ihsan Zainal Mokhtar, President of MIP together with 14 REHDA and MIP members. The research findings focused on the following 3 aspects:
- Land reserved for Public Amenities
- Planning for Residential development
- Planning for Mixed-development
The paper will be also be presented to the State EXCO in the near future.
