Two policy changes to broaden the eligibility of middle-income earners will see them own affordable and quality homes under the 1Malaysia People's Housing (PRIMA) programme. The move was also set to improve the scheme's marketability, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
The policy change will see the household monthly income eligibility for PRIMA homes increased from RM10,000 to RM15,000. In addition, the moratorium on renting and selling imposed on PRIMA house buyers will be reduced from 10 to five years.
